About
Thirty-five years on the floor
Hospitality Excellence Group was built out of one repeated observation: good concepts undone by inconsistent execution.
The founder
Arbër Rozhaja
Thirty-five years in hospitality, from the floor to multi-site leadership, across the United Kingdom, the United States and Kosovo.
Arbër started where most people in this industry start: in the room, on a shift, learning what actually holds a service together. That grounding shaped everything that followed. Over three decades he moved from operating single venues to running and rebuilding groups, working across almost every format hospitality has.
The pattern repeated everywhere. Businesses with a strong concept, good people and real ambition would still stall, because what happened on a quiet Tuesday did not match what happened on a busy Saturday. The problem was rarely talent or intention. It was that nothing had been built to make good execution repeatable.
Hospitality Excellence Group exists to build that. Not advice from the outside, but systems installed from within, by someone who has run the shift.
Career journey
Almost every format hospitality has
The problems change shape between formats. The underlying causes rarely do.
-
Coffee shop chains
High volume, tight margins, and standards that have to hold across every site.
-
Bars
Speed, stock control and service that stays consistent as the room fills.
-
Pubs
Kitchen and bar running together, with a regular trade that notices any drop.
-
Night clubs
Peak-intensity operations where safety, flow and staffing decide the night.
-
Boutique hotels
Rooms, food and beverage under one standard, where detail is the product.
-
Restaurant chains
Repeatable kitchens and service models that scale without diluting.
-
Multi-location groups
Structure, reporting and management layers that let owners step back.
Philosophy
Concept gets a business opened. Consistency decides whether it lasts.
Every operator can describe their vision. Far fewer can describe what happens when the strongest manager is on holiday, the kitchen is two people short, and it is the busiest night of the month.
That gap is where businesses are actually won and lost. Guests do not experience a concept. They experience one shift, on one evening, delivered by whoever happened to be working.
Consistency is not the enemy of character. A venue with real personality still needs its coffee to taste the same on Monday as it did on Saturday, its checklists completed, and its managers making the same call in the same situation.
Building that is unglamorous work. It is also the difference between a place people liked once and a business that can grow.
What we stand for
Mission, vision and values
Mission
To make good execution repeatable, so hospitality businesses deliver the same standard on every shift, in every venue, whether the owner is present or not.
Vision
A hospitality sector where growth is limited by ambition rather than by operational fragility, and where scaling does not mean diluting what made a business worth visiting.
Values
- Practical over theoretical
- Standards that survive turnover
- Honest assessment, even when unwelcome
- Systems the client owns, not dependency
